Andis® UltraEdge Blades are made from high-carbon steel and processed through a unique carburizing treatment that adds carbon to the metal for a harder cutting surface.
Blending blades, also known as skip tooth blades, are used to soften lines and finish a groom. They have fine teeth and are wider than standard blades, making them ideal for larger dogs and matted coats. Blenders are used for:
Compatible with Andis®, Conair®, Oster®, and Wahl® detachable-style clippers.
Material: Carbon-infused Steel
Cut: Medium Blending Blade has a 1/16" Blade Cut
Outfitting your clippers with a blending blade allows for some very useful grooming functions, especially on larger dogs. Blending blades are wider and cover a larger area than typical blades, meaning they are ideal for quickly and efficiently shaving down bigger breeds. This is especially true for dogs with excessive matting that needs to be removed – a wide blending blade makes quick work of it! As the name suggests, blending blades also work great for evening up two different lengths of hair, giving it a smooth, finished look. Sometimes blending blades will also be called “skip tooth blades” and the gap between the teeth can get caught on skin if used haphazardly, so always be careful with blending blades. At PetEdge.com, we carry all types of clipper blades, including the specialized blending blades, at great prices!
