If you buy the steps buy these too
I bought the stairs (which I love). I worried that the stairs would slip off the edge of my tub because there is nothing attaching the stairs to the tub; they just lean on the edge of the tub. I decided to buy the extensions. They screw onto the end of the stairs very easily. You probably don't *have* to buy them, but I wanted the peace of mind of knowing that the stairs wouldn't fall off the edge of the tub as my dog was climbing up. If you are a dog groomer or have an unruly dog that really fights getting into the tub, I would 100% recommend buying these.
